Tina Vest, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Tina is the owner and founder of Vest Psychiatric Services, LLC. She has been in practice as a Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for 20 years with an additional 6 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse. Tina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has also acheived an induction into two lifetime honor societies and was a recipient of the Rena A Boyle scholarship for nursing excellence. Tina is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has served as a nurse practitioner in many capacities including clinical care, involvement in research, and through volunteer services representing Nurse Practitioners in Nebraska.     During her tenure at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, she was a co-investigator in several child/adolescent clinical research trials including trials sponsored by Harvard Medical School, Duke University and the National Institute of Mental Health.    She has had extensive training utilizing a variety of structured clinical interview assessment and rating scales.  She focuses on bringing that research experience into the treatment of her patients in particular with diagnostic clarification.  Her goal is to enhance treatment planning and improved patient outcomes through a research based practice.  Tina specializes in child and adolescent disorders with a particular focus on eating disorders, bipolar disorders, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Additional areas of interest include women's mental health throughout their life span and during pregnancy.  She has completed additional training through Postpartum Support International for treating Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.  Tina is available Monday through Friday in her Lincoln Nebraska in office and telepsychiatry visits.
